Created in 1979, this organisation brings together nearly 410 members, winegrowers who make their wine in private cellars, authenticated by a stamp on their bottles. On the forefront is a charter that bases its legitimacy on three fundamental values: responsibility for quality, exemplary professionalism and commitment to respect the natural heritage.

The Independent Winegrowers' Wine Competition

This Parisian competition, with its total independence, has the unique characteristic of welcoming non-professional but enlightened amateur jurors so that it is the taste and choice of the consumer that is expressed. The 2020 edition had 1,500 wineries competing, tasting more than 6,000 samples and resulted in a rich list of 1,605 medals. Now an essential event, this great mass in honour of Bacchus, operates according to a precise methodology, with ISO 9001 certification that guarantees the credibility of the choice of its 2200 jurors. Here, the best wine is the one we love... The FDVI is also at the initiative of event projects around art and wine tourism. A pioneering event in the field, a hymn to Provence, the Art & Vin festival, with its exhibitions and discovery tours, invites itself to the estates and châteaux to meet the people and visit vineyards. Alongside the exhibitions, the Independent Winegrowers offer a year-round programme of concerts, conferences, walks in the vineyards and winegrower picnics.

The Federation is at the origin of many initiatives such as "Art & Vin", "Picnic at the Independent Winegrower's" or "La Route des Vins". For many years now, the Federation has been organising around sixty trade fairs throughout France to enable private individuals and professionals to come and meet the winegrower to discover, taste and appreciate his production. "To keep up with the times, Plug Wine has also been created. This dynamic mail-order sales structure, accompanies our customers in their choices and discoveries," explains the man who is as much in love with rigour as he is with communication: "In addition to a taste for perfection and work, we must give priority to image, marketing and close contacts with customers, which I believe are the keys to successful management in the wine world."
